Herbert L. Brewer
Herbert L. Brewer, 78, co-founded Madison Oil Company
in 1993 and was a director of the company. In July 2001,
he became the chief executive officer of Madison until
Toreador acquired the company later that year. Previously,
Mr. Brewer was chairman and chief executive officer of
Triton Europe Plc., a London Stock Exchange-listed company
engaged in oil and gas exploration. He also was a director
and senior vice president of Triton Energy (acquired
by Amerada Hess Corporation in 2001), an international
oil and gas exploration and production company, where
he was responsible for global exploration activities.
