In the countryside southeast of Paris, Toreador owns and operates five oil fields. Production from these fields accounts for the majority of the company's total oil output. The oil produced is light, sweet crude priced at a discount to Brent Intermediate. Toreador holds interests in acreage with exploration potential and has filed applications for additional exploration permits.



Neocomian Complex.
Discovered in the mid-1950s, the four Neocomian oil fields are the longest-producing fields in the Paris Basin, with more than 30 million barrels of oil produced to date. Current production averages a little over 900 barrels of oil per day. Toreador holds a 100% working interest.


Nemours Field. Toreador has a 50% working interest in this 15,700-net acre exploration permit, which is operated by Lundin Petroleum. In 2006 the La Tonnelle-1 discovered a modest amount oil and currently produces approximately 10 barrels of oil per day.

Charmottes Permit. The Charmottes Field has produced about 1 million barrels of oil since its discovery in 1984, and currently produces approximately 170 barrels of oil per day. The company has a 100% working interest in the field.

Courtenay Permit. Toreador holds a 100% working interest in this 183,000-acre permit, which is adjacent to the four fields in the Neocomian Complex.

Aufferville Permit. The company owns a 100% working interest in the 33,000-acre Aufferville permit.

Mairy Permit. Toreador owns a 30% working interest in this 114,000-acre permit which is operated by Lundin Petroleum. The permit was granted in August, 2007.
